KUALA LUMPUR: UMW Toyota Motor launched the all-new fourth generation Toyota Vios which is offered at a starting price of RM89,600.
This subcompact sedan model is offered with two variants namely 1.5 G (AT) and 1.5 E (AT) with five color options.
According to UMW Toyota Motor President, Datuk K Ravindran, Toyota combines advanced automotive technology with upgraded specifications.
“The 1.5-liter DOHC Dual VVT-i engine has been improved to offer stronger performance.
“While the 7-speed CVT transmission with Sequential Shiftmatic provides more agile acceleration, in addition to further increasing the level of fuel efficiency,” he said when launching the fourth generation Toyota Vios Serba Haru in Kuala Lumpur.
He explained, Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) offers better safety features by warning the driver about dangers and reacting autonomously to prevent and avoid violations.
Drivers will also be able to enjoy a high-grade display and better comfort with redesigned front seats for a comfortable driving position and better support.
“New functions such as Paddle Shifters and Electronic Parking Brake add more convenience to all drivers.
“The engine compartment has also been redesigned to reduce the breaking point, further reducing the weight,” he explained.
The Toyota Vios assembled at the UMW Motor factory in Bukit Raja, Klang has received over 5,000 orders since it opened on 24 February 2023.
The prices for the two variants offered are 1.5E AT and 1.5G AT which are sold at RM89,600 and RM95,500 respectively on the road without insurance.
