At the same time, the warm and whimsical lobby walls have been repainted from off-white to a moody chocolate brown colour and infills of patterned terracotta tiles have been added to embellish the property’s original historic flooring. An eclectic mix of furnishings from flea markets, adds an extra element of character to a hotel already brimming with eclectic charm.
A striking wallcovering creates a mural-like effect behind the fireplace and phone booths. Artworks in gold frames add another layer of contrast to the dark walls.
