After being away from the stage’s spotlight for years, Bad Gal Riri is back to take over the Super Bowl halftime show.
Last Sunday, Rihanna took the halftime show stage for 13 minutes and performed snippets of 12 of her biggest hits.
The singer appeared in a striking red bodysuit underneath a jumpsuit in the same shade. She then started the show with a rousing rendition of “Bitch Better Have My Money.”

As she launched into “All of the Lights,” she gave a nod to her brand, Fenty Beauty, by taking a compact from one of her dancers and dabbing powder on her face.
She performed songs that spanned her 18-year career. Up-tempo tracks like “Only Girl (In the World)” and “Rude Boy” pumped up the crowd.
The singer also gave a little hint to a big announcement, as she gently rubbed her belly while singing the lyric “life inside.”
Just a while after her performance, a representative for Rihanna confirmed that she is indeed expecting her second child.
The show ended with the pop star’s smash hits, “Umbrella” and “Diamonds,” as fireworks lit up the sky.
“When you become a mom, there’s something that just happens where you feel like you could take on the world—you can do anything,” Rihanna said about embarking on her highly anticipated performance.
“And the Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world, so as scary as that was … there’s something exhilarating about the challenge of it all.”
Rihanna hasn’t come out with an album since her 2016 record, Anti, so fans have been awaiting her return to music for a long time.
Perhaps her performance at the Super Bowl is a hint that she has something in the works. Be it a new single, album, or tour, we’re keeping our fingers crossed!
