KUALA LUMPUR,. Three river monitoring stations in Johor recorded water levels above the danger level with an upward trend as of 8 pm last night while four other stations in the state recorded warning category readings.

According to the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) in a statement, three more stations, one each in Sarawak, Pahang and Negeri Sembilan, recorded a warning category status.

The three stations in Johor that breached the danger level are Sungai Gemas in Kampung Lubok Kepong, Segamat with a reading of 19.09 metres (m), Sungai Lenik station in Ladang Chaah, Segamat (6.76m) and Sungai Segamat station in Segamat Kechil (38.70m).

The stations that recorded water level at warning level in Johor are the Sungai Kahang station in Kampung Contoh, Kluang at 14.83m, Kampung Parit Tengah, Muar (3.17m), Sungai Siku station in Kampung Murni Jaya, Kulai (17.82m) and Sungai Muar in Kampung Awat, Segamat (19.79m).

In Sarawak, the Kuala Balingian station in Mukah is also at a warning level of 1.37m and the Sungai Pukin station in Rompin is at 44.68m.

Meanwhile, in Negeri Sembilan, the water level at the Sungai Gemas station in Kampung Tiong, Tampin is also in the warning category at 21.51m.
