Hyatt Hotels Corporation increases its portfolio with the addition of Dream Hotel Group brands. The growth includes 12 lifestyle hotels with another 24 signed long-term management agreements for hotels to open in the future.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced the completion of the Dream Hotel Group lifestyle hotel brand and management platform acquisition. In Hyatt’s growing portfolio, exciting new lifestyle hotel brands include Dream Hotels, The Chatwal, and Unscripted Hotels. More than 600 new colleagues enter the Hyatt family, deepening the expertise in hospitality to Hyatt’s global brand.

Mark Hoplamazian, president and chief executive officer at Hyatt, expressed the team’s excitement in the new chapter of the business.

“Hyatt’s acquisition of Dream Hotel Group represents an exciting chapter in our asset-light growth as we expand our lifestyle offerings, providing global travellers with an increased number of elevated experiences – now, and in the future,” he explained. “Together, we will carefully preserve the spirit and individual identities of the sought-after Dream Hotel Group hotels while adding the commercial strength of Hyatt’s marketing and sales channels, all underrated under the World of Hyatt loyalty program.”

Properties in the Dream Hotel Group are known for their progressive design and spirited dining and nightlife. Bespoken authenticity in hospitality, they are built with inventive activations and design-savvy spaces, acting as ideal social hubs for local communities and travellers.

This new chapter for Hyatt extends its brand footprint in Nashville, Hollywood, Las Vegas, South Beach, Saint Lucia, Doha, and several recent locations in New York City.

Sant Singh Chatwall, Dream Hotel Group founder, will continue his dedication as an owner of four currently open hotels and two hotels expected to join Hyatt’s portfolio in the future.
