The Vibe Adelaide has opened its doors, with the latest South Australian location a major accomplishment for the company.
Launching the 123-room hotel, Vibe completes the planned Flinders East precinct, a project which has been twenty years in the process. The precinct has been contributed to buy companies Guavalime and Loucas Zahos Architects as well.
TOGA Far East Hotels (TFE) chief operating officer, Chris Sedgwick said the vibe hotel provided a distinctive style of Australian Hospitality.
“We are excited to debut our newest Vibe and we’re thrilled that the launch coincides with one of the busiest and most exciting times for the city,” Sedgwick said. “Adelaide shines during their festival season… and it’s precisely that vibrancy and sense of character that we’ve tried to capture at the hotel and aim to deliver 365 days of the year.”
Sedgwick says that he expects the hotel to be a great support to the growth of South Australia, its economy and local industry in the foreseeable future.
“What I particularly like about this property, is that our local owner/developers GuavaLime and Loucas Zahos Architects have infused a distinctly South Australian flavour into the fabric of the hotel,” explained Sedgwick. “From a stunning serpentine chandelier suspended from a raw concrete ceiling in the lobby to pressed metal artwork – sourced, designed, and printed in South Australia – to a colour palette infused with Australian colours.”
The hotel has been given a ‘South Australian vibe’ and constructors are confident that the hotel will substantially boost the local tourism industry which has seen growth in recent years.
Vibe Adelaide is the fourth opening in as many years, having followed the Vibe Darling Harbour in Sydney, Vibe Hotel Hobart in the state of Tasmania, and the Vibe Hotel Subiaco in Western Australia.
After the launch, Vibe now has a hotel located in every state and territory of Australia, with further plans to grow the brand, and has even recently completed its first overseas project, Vibe Singapore Orchard.
Vibe Adelaide is located within walking distance of Rundle Mall, Central Market, Botanic Gardens, Hutt Street and Vardon Avenue.
