urine-cannot-cure-sinusitis-–-thailand’s-medical-services-department

The Thai Medical Services Department has asked the public not to share social media reports claiming that dripping urine into the nose every day can cure sinusitis, describing it as fake news.

Although there are numerous chemical substances in urine, such as sodium chloride, calcium and urea, the department said that there is no current or credible medical evidence to support a claim that it is efficacious in the treatment of sinusitis.

It also said that people who fall ill and need treatment should see a qualified medical doctor.

Members of the public can get medical information from the Medical Services Department by logging into the department’s website at www.dms.go.th or by calling 02-590-6000.
