The billionaire received the lion’s share of attention on the runway.
Kylie Jenner has stolen the show at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week.
During Schiaparelli’s Haute Couture Spring Summer 2023 show, she donned a black velvet strapless gown—complete with a faux lion head.
For the show, creative director Daniel Roseberry drew inspiration from “Dante’s Inferno.”
“Inferno, Purgatorio, Paradiso: One cannot exist without the other… It is a reminder there is no such thing as heaven without hell. There is no joy without sorrow. There is no ecstasy of creation without the torture of doubt,” Roseberry said.
The Maison had dubbed the photorealistic lion head as “faux-taxidermy,” which it embroidered in hand-sculpted foam, wool, and silk faux fur. It then hand-painted this to look as life-like as possible.
Jenner is currently the most-followed woman on Instagram. In 2019, Forbes reported that she became the “youngest self-made billionaire” at the age of 21.
