Lexus is leading the charge towards sustainable mobility with the unveiling of two new electrified vehicles at the Singapore Motorshow 2023. Held from 12 to 15 January at Suntec Singapore, the brand will showcase the all-new Lexus RZ and RX, along with an extensive lineup of hybrid models including the Lexus IS, ES, UX, and NX.

The Singapore Motorshow will also mark the first public preview of the Lexus RZ, the brand’s first 100% battery electric vehicle (BEV) built on a new dedicated all-electric platform. The RZ’s minimalist design and athletic silhouette sets a new design direction for Lexus’ future all-electric vehicles. The use of a BEV-specific platform aims to enhance the driving experience, with the focus on the DIRECT4 all-wheel drive system, which can precisely control front-rear torque distribution for optimal torque balance, handling stability, and controlled vehicle posture.

In addition, the Lexus RZ’s interior has been decorated with Ultrasuede BX, a high-quality synthetic leather that provides an excellent tactile feel and high durability, while also being partially made from plant-derived raw materials, further contributing to the brand’s efforts towards carbon neutrality.

The all-new Lexus RX, the brand’s flagship luxury SUV, has also undergone a complete renewal, with a focus on the Lexus Driving Signature performance and next-generation Lexus design. The fifth-generation RX is equipped with a GA-K platform that features a multi-link rear suspension, allowing for a more dynamic driving experience and optimal weight distribution for a sense of security and assurance. The new RX also boasts a well-balanced ride comfort and high levels of quietness, a signature of all Lexus models.

“It is an exciting time for Lexus in 2023 with the vision of contributing to a carbon-neutral society coming to life with these two latest models,” said Jasmmine Wong, CEO of Inchcape Greater China and Singapore. “Lexus continues to stay true to its customers by introducing a line of vehicles that enhance driving experience, without compromising on fuel efficiency and contributing to the overall driving sustainability.”
