Here’s where to book your next trip to see cherry blossoms in all their glory.

Some places in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan are already experiencing cherry blossom season this spring.

If you’re looking to plan your next trip, here are the best ways to view and experience these pink blooms.

Japan

Cherry blossoms, also known as sakura, are celebrated in Japan with numerous activities. Locals often welcome in the spring with flower-viewing parties across the country.

These can range from informal gatherings with friends and family to company-organized events in parks near office buildings.

While staying in Tokyo, visitors can go on a Mt. Fuji Route Day Tour to enjoy the flowers and the sunrise.

Crowd favorite spots in Fukuoka include the Kumamoto Castle and Kurokawa Onsen. From there, you can also visit the active volcano Mount Aso.

In Seoul, several festivals are held all over the city. The popular Yeouido Spring Flower Festival takes place by the Han River.

Festival-goers can take in the view of cherry blossoms while enjoying exhibitions, performances, and fireworks.

Taiwan

Explore Taiwan’s great outdoors to see their own cherry blossoms in bloom from as early as January.

In Taipei, you can go on a hike at Yangmingshan Park. The paths are lined with cherry blossom trees which you can view at your leisure.

Another viewing spot is at the Tianyuan Temple. The pink flowers frame the majestic structure until nighttime.

Wuling Farm in Taichung is home to 21,000 different varieties of cherry blossoms with a three-kilometer walking trail for the best views.

For a close experience with nature, the Beitou and Yangmingshan One-Day Tour will take you through national parks for views of mountains and the sought-after flowers.
