Ascott Limited has announced the opening of their latest hotel in Singapore, the Citadines Connect Rochester. This is the seventh Citadines instalment for Ascott Limited in the Singapore region, and closely follows the opening of the Citadines Raffles Place, the company’s flagship property in Singapore.
The Citadines Connect Rochester is a state-of-the-art venue, which is owned by Ascott’s parent company, CapitaLand Investment.
The Citadines Connect Rochester is an integrated part of the newly built Rochester Commons and occupies four levels within the building. Located near the Buona Vista train station, it is conveniently placed to be a base for those wanting to explore Singapore and has numerous dining and entertainment options in the neighbouring area.
The property houses 135 rooms, and is ideal for both long and short stays, especially for business travellers. The hotel features a mix of studio units and includes Premier and Deluxe options as well.
Guests who are part of Ascott’s star rewards loyalty programme (ASR) will be able to make reservations, self-check-in and self-check-out, request services, and make contactless payments through the ASR app.
Ascott’s managing director for Southeast Asia and head of strategy and global operations, Ms. Wong Kar Ling spoke of the occasion as a great opportunity for the company and the Singapore region.
“Citadines is the fastest-growing brand in our global portfolio. The opening of Citadines Connect Rochester Singapore marks our continued growth in this key gateway city as we plant our 18th property flag in Singapore.”
The hotel features a range of local art, such as the hanging installation in the lobby titled ‘Feeling at Home’ by artist Hong Zhu An. The piece is said to connect the hotel and guests together.
“It imbues the property lobby with a sense of warmth and thoughtful hospitality, welcoming guests with a feel of home. Smaller characters, laser-cut inside large metal shapes, hint at a deeper meaning in the couplet, and reveal the artist’s long-honed and internationally recognised calligraphic skills.”
The Citadines brand stands on the principle of ‘bringing you to the city, and the city to you,’ and is committed to offering the best possible service to Singapore, and all international guests as well.
“Aligning the strong attributes of the Citadines brand; For the Love of Cities, this property taps on the business, technology, and lifestyle amenities in the area to deliver an outstanding stay experience that encompasses both work and play.”
