Anne Hathaway has been chosen as the face of this brand’s newest “Icons” campaign, featuring a “timeless elegance with an edge.”
Anne Hathaway is an actress who needs no introduction, as she’s starred in a number of hit classics, and is best known for her roles in the cult classics The Devil Wears Prada and The Princess Diaries. Recently, the actress has been experiencing what the media calls her “fashion renaissance,” as she continues to turn heads on the red carpet and in the fashion world with the help of her acclaimed stylist Erin Walsh.
So it comes as no surprise that the accomplished celebrity has been chosen by Versace to be the face of the brand’s latest collection entitled “Icons,” together with Chinese singer and actress Chris Lee.

What Makes an Icon
The Italian luxury brand’s latest collection—which will be available on April 3—aims to highlight “multifaceted” and “inspirational” women, according to artistic director and vice president Donatella Versace in a recent Instagram post. It also explores how the brand makes these women feel “considered, confident, and stunning.”

In the very same post, Donatella expressed how she’s not only a huge fan of Hathaway’s work, but also an admirer of the woman herself. “She is a huge star, she is a businesswoman, she is creative, and she is exceptionally kind. That is what makes a Versace Icon!” the fashion designer wrote.
A Woman of Style
Anne Hathway sported a variety of timeless looks from Versace’s latest collection. Among them was a sparkly black jersey dress with the brand’s signature Medusa medallion on the straps, a leather blazer, and a mini “Greca Goddess” bag. Another classic look included a sculpted hourglass corset paired with impeccably styled jeans that Hathaway playfully described as “sexy” in an Instagram post.
This isn’t the first time the 40-year-old actress has donned Versace’s pieces. She’s had a longstanding relationship with the Italian fashion house, having worn a sequined Atelier Versace design during her 2020 red carpet return at the Critics’ Choice Awards, as well as the brand’s crocodile-embossed dress while attending Versace’s autumn/winter 2023 runway show.
Hathway described Versace’s newest collection as a “timeless one” with the brand’s inimitable “edge.” In her recent Instagram post, the actress added: “She [Donatella] said she wanted to focus on pieces designed to be a cherished part of one’s wardrobe, enjoyed outside the trend cycle, worn again and again throughout your life. I thought it was a fantastic idea, and I am so proud, grateful, and thrilled to find myself newly included in the iconic Versace family.”
In a press release, Hathaway shared that she’s grateful for not only being chosen as a face for the luxury brand, but also for Donatella’s “heart, generosity, and kindness.”
“She and everyone in the Versace family have been so incredibly welcoming and supportive of me. What a thrill to be a Versace woman!” exclaimed Hathaway.
