Hong Kong and Macau lead Asia travel recovery, as Chinese tourists return

• Aviation seat capacity is also up for other destinations popular with Chinese tourists, including Thailand, Singapore and South Korea
• In 2019, travellers from China made 155 million trips abroad and splurged nearly US$255 million, accounting for about 14 per cent of the global tourism spend
