Resuming in-person education is a top priority for federal health and education officials. In February, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued new guidelines outlining steps schools should take to minimize the risk of Covid-19 transmission in schools.
The classroom experience will be different from what many students remember. We spoke with Nathaniel Beers, a pediatrician at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C., and lead author of the American Academy of Pediatrics guidance on schools and Covid, about what parents can expect.
