The Lamborghini Miura SV celebrates its golden jubiilee

Fifty years ago, Lamborghini unveiled the Miura SV. The car reached a top speed of 290kph and could cover a kilometre in under 24 seconds – a stellar time back then. Two years and 150 units later, Lamborghini stopped production of the Miura SV. Today, this icon is sought after by collectors. In February, a restored 1971 model went under the hammer at Sotheby’s Paris for 2.42 million Euros (S$3.87 million). That’s not the most expensive one. A gold 1971 Speciale variant went for £3.2 million last September at Gooding’s Concours of Elegance sale in London. Talk about record-breaking
