The best cult beauty products to shop at the Sephora Beauty Pass sale this week
What could possibly make your month better than a good ol’ fashioned shopping spree at your favourite beauty retailer?
Not much else, we think. And while we’re happy to spend all our fortunes within the confines of the beauty giant’s monochromatic walls, we’ll go ahead and admit that we love a good sale. Thankfully, the Sephora Beauty Pass Sale — one of the store’s biggest of the year — is upon us and with it comes the perfect excuse to empty whatever’s left of our pockets.
Happening from 31 March to 4 April for Gold Tier members and a day later for Black and White Tier members, this year’s sale will be bigger than ever with up to 25 percent off regular priced items for members of the top two tiers, and 15 percent off for White Tier members.
Sephora is also giving away handy beauty tools like a mini USB Humidifier with every purchase for Gold Tier members, as well as putting together Beauty Bestie Boxes from popular brands such as Laura Mercier, Tom Ford, and SKII for those looking to pamper themselves (or a loved one) with new beauty treats.
The sale might be happening in stores and online, but if you fancy a personal shopping experience in person, Sephora also has a dedicated Whatsapp account that enables you to send your shopping list to your preferred store from the 29th March to reserve your favourite products.
Ahead of the Sephora sale, here are some of our favourite products we can’t wait to cop.
Crème de la Mer
You can’t talk about face creams without a mention of the ultra-luxurious Crème de la Mer. The moisturiser harnesses the benefits of the brand’s proprietary Miracle Broth — the legendary mixture of sea kelp, vitamins and minerals, and other plant extracts — to deeply soothe, moisturise and heal any dryness. Over time, the rich cream also strengthens the skin’s natural barrier and softens fine lines and wrinkles. If you’ve always wanted to have a go but can’t stand to pay its eye-watering price tag, now’s the best time to dip your toes into the world of La Mer.
Kérastase Chronologiste Regenerating Mask
Although usually reserved for the mid to end sections of the hair, this hair mask was formulated to provide intense nourishment from your scalp down. Infused with ingredients like hyaluronic acid, abyssine and vitamin E, the product fights the signs of an aging scalp, which not only results in shinier and stronger hair, but also less frizz and more voluptuousness, especially for thinning hair. Expect your indulgent home salon experience to be further elevated with the line’s signature scent of fine fragrances, which includes delicate wafts of tea rose, light woods and musk.
Sunday Riley Good Genes
If you haven’t yet hopped onto the exfoliating bandwagon, products like Sunday Riley’s Good Genes are a good way to start. The targeted lactic acid treatment is less harsh than other exfoliants like glycolic acid and salicylic acid, and deeply exfoliates the dull surface of the skin to remove pore-clogging skin cells. Together with licorice, this concentrated treatment also reduces the look of dark spots and discoloration caused by exposure to the sun, leaving you with more even-toned skin over time.
Huda Beauty Nude Eyeshadow Palette
Who better to show you how to elevate a neutral eye look than beauty blogger Huda Kattan and her Nude Eyeshadow Palette. The 18 highly pigmented shades — from ruby glitter to matte mauve — are a versatile mix that’ll allow you to create endless eye makeup looks. All colours are also infused with aloe vera and coconut oil for a smooth, flawless finish all day while keeping your eyelids healthy.
Olaplex No. 7 Bonding Oil
Created to quench even the driest of tresses, this highly-concentrated hair oil is a weightless alternative to leave-in conditioners when it comes to intense hydration. Like the rest of Olaplex’s products, this one contains the brand’s patented bond repairing technology to strengthen brittle hair while protecting against breakage, with vitamin- and essential fatty acid-rich ingredients that range from grape seed and moringa seed oil to provide UV and heat protection while reducing frizz.
Dior Lip Sugar Scrub
Trust Dior to make a popular home remedy even better. This exfoliating stick comprises grains of sugar that melt away for extra soft lips — an especially useful step before you apply your lipstick. The lip balm is also deeply moisturising, and leaves your puckers naturally rosified and nourished.
Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream
This potent formula by Drunk Elephant harnesses the restorative benefits of polypeptides — the building blocks of protein and signal peptides, which help accelerate collagen synthesis within the skin to improve firmness. Other ingredients such as pygmy waterlily stem cell extract and folic acid ferment extract also make this moisturiser a dream for those with a compromised skin barrier. The gel-cream is lightweight and takes a couple of minutes to completely absorb, but leaves the skin supple and smooth enough to be used as a primer too.
