As part of Omni Hotels & Resorts’ “Say Goodnight To Hunger” effort, the leading hotel brand aims to donate 750,000 meals to Feeding America in honour of September Hunger Action Month.
With meal donations to benefit food banks nationwide, the brand is raising awareness around food insecurity while engaging colleagues, guests and local communities of where its hotels are located. The campaign is being amplified with a three-city tour across the USA featuring an Omni Hotels & Resorts branded hot-air balloon that will fly at Omni PGA Frisco Resort in Frisco, TX (13 September); The Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, VA (15 September); and Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Centre in Atlanta, GA (19 September). In addition to creating beautiful visuals and offering access to three of Omni’s premier hotels, the attention-grabbing balloons will help raise awareness of the Feeding America mission and spread the message for a nationwide call to action to fight hunger.
As part of this initiative, the brand guests and the public are encouraged to get involved in several ways:
- Double donations for all leisure and group bookings completed between 1 to 30 September 2022 across a portfolio of over 50 hotels and resorts nationwide
- Double donations for guests opting out of house cleaning services during their stay in September
- One meal donation for every large coffee or espresso drink sold on-property
- A dedicated landing page for direct online donations to Feeding America
To support more than 42 million Americans battling food scarcity, Omni Hotels & Resorts’ launched its “Say Goodnight to Hunger” initiative in June 2016. The brand’s Hunger Action Month activations are a part of this effort.
To date, over 21 million meals have been donated to Feeding America. With a combined brand and community effort for Hunger Action Month, the projected donation will bring that number to close to 22 million meals.
