Marking its 125th anniversary in November 2022, the iconic Hotel De L’Europe in Amsterdam is offering what might just be the world’s most opulent extravagant hotel stay to just one guest; a complete takeover of the five-star, 106-bedroom hotel (including a six-bedroom penthouse suite), for the princely sum of €1.25 million.
‘Money can’t buy’ experiences
One single purchaser will be able to bring up to 212 guests for an incredible two-night stay at the hotel. All rooms and suites will be at their party’s disposal and they’ll receive a decadent daily breakfast for all guests, which can be taken in-room or at Brasserie Marie. Plus they’ll be treated to the following experiences; full access to the in-house spa, Le Spa by Skins Institute, for an entire year; multiple Michelin-starred dinners from Flore, Trattoria Graziella and Freddy’s Bar; a glitzy hosted party spanning the entire property and including entertainment, food and performance; the lead guest’s hotel suite will be transformed into the ‘Garden of Eden’ by The Wunderkammer for the duration of their stay; and there will be a private workshop from D/Dock on the ‘Aesthetics of Uncertainty.
Gifts that keep on giving
The experience won’t end there, as guests booking the package will receive a range of gifts to keep and remember; a one-of-a-kind Salle Privée fragrance to make and take home; a tulip ring from Bibi van der Velden which was once kept in the Amsterdam Hermitage Museum; a couture look from RVDK, the world’s first sustainable couture label; an original artwork collection from The Ravestijn Gallery; an incredibly rare ‘Ferrari’ collector’s piece, sourced by MENDO; and a bottle of rare, old Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Bowmore (the specific whisky age is chosen according to the guest’s personal taste).
Additionally, the purchaser will receive some very special invitations. Top fashion stylist, Danie Bles, will invite the guest to a workshop and lunch for up to 10 people, with a vintage high-end fashion piece to take home. Female purchasers will receive five-times entry to the elite Harper’s Bazaar Business Club (including access to five meetings per year, a monthly business newsletter, access to a private LinkedIn group and reduced rate events). And Valerie van der Werff, the former lifestyle director of Vogue Living, will offer an entire rebrand of the guest’s company, if applicable.
