KABUL, Aug 30 (NNN-ANA) – Afghanistan received another fresh batch of 40 million U.S. dollars in cash, as humanitarian aid late yesterday, the country’s central bank, Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB), said in a statement, released here today.

“As part of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, 40 million U.S. dollars in cash arrived in Kabul yesterday (Aug 29) and was transferred to one of the country’s commercial banks,” DAB said, in the statement.

Thanking the donor nations over sending the cash to the war-torn country, DAB, in its statement, also asked for facilitating good banking relations with Afghanistan.

The last package of cash humanitarian aid provided to Afghanistan was also 40 million U.S. dollars, which arrived in the cash-stripped country, a couple of weeks ago and deposited to the private Afghanistan International Bank, raising the country’s foreign exchange reserve to nearly one billion U.S. dollars.
