Before digital devices changed people’s lifestyles, book rental shops could be found in almost every corner of Bangkok, when kids were crazy about Japanese cartoons. Today, they are spending more time on mobile gadgets and many have become addicted.
There are fewer and fewer print readers and most book rental shops have disappeared, except Uncle Yai’s.
Despite making no profit, he still keeps going.
